I am about to order side skirts from importfan and they say you can get a free cf hood with your purchase but you pay for shipping. My question is how good are the OEM cf hoods they sell and if I get that one for free with my purchase how much will the shipping be? This is for everyone who has taken advantage of this deal or knows.

I'm not sure how good the carbon fiber hoods are, but I do know that they are not clear coated, so you have to get that done before you put it on. The shipping and handling is expensive, like $300, thats where they make the money for the hood, it aint really free.

Wrong mang. They come clear coated, jus fukked up. There are lil white dots, almost like sheet rock dust, all over the hoods. It is IN the clear coat, sometimes down on the fibers. It is barely noticeable from more then a few feet away. There are minor defects on them, and teh fitment is pretty good. Mine was a lil warped up, but i assume not all are like that. Shipping was $200 on mine from CA to CT. It will be cheaper depending on where you represent. Also, it was my understanding that they were out of the CF hoods and are only offering the Fiberglass Predator 6 Vent hoods for the eclipse. And yes, i have gotten a cf hood from them with this offer, 4 to be exact for varying cars, and they all had the same defects. And if you look at the recent pics on my site then you will see one on my car, including a close-up in the mi><0r.

well how good are these predator hoods?

The predator hoods fitment is great, to the best of my knowledge. Mine looks as if it will fit perfect once i make all neccessary changes under the hood, ask chryslerkid. Hid fit good as well.

they dont give free hoods n e more to my knowledge, they are sold out of eclipse hoods, but it never hurts to ask
