Anyone know of any sites that have seats at a low price? Preferably some common name seats like (sparco,corbeau,bride) nothing like (hatchi matchi racing) i dont want a seat that the stitches break in a few days. Thanx.

they were good, quick and cheap, the seats i got have recently gone down to $220 a piece, right after i paid $600 for the pair last year, oh well. my belts were like $200 for the pair and the sparco pads they imported for me from italy as well. (those are for sale by the way, $25 a pair, unused)

but as far as name brands go, dont include bride, that is about as uncommon as seats go, they are straight japanese and are rearer than recaros, and almost as expensive. go with a sparco, a corbeau or a cobra)

jamex and konig are also ok but alot harder to find

I've heard of people installing aftermarket seats and the seat sitting higher than the stock one. Do you have this problem? I've thought about putting something in but I have my seat adjusted all the way down as it is and think a higher seat would be uncomfortable. Any thoughts? Thanks.

my best friend just finished installing sparco turino's after his recaro spg's got ripped out of the car a month after he owned it. alli can say is the sparco are comfortable and is alot more supportive than stock but no where near as supportave as the recaro. but then the recaro is pretty much a full blown race seat, just a fiberglass shell with an uppolstered front. the sparco is much better for daily driving the bacs recline and the they are way softer. the funny thing is my buddy was going to sell his recaros to buy the sparcos for $500 but after the car was stolen the best price we could find on these locally was $1300cdn!!!! each and that didnt incluce any of the mounting brackets. the sparco's ended up costing about $1000cdn with the bases and sliders. with the sparcos they end up siting at about the stock height (we welded the sliders to the base instead of buying the adapter which may have made the higher) and the recaro's sat maybe an inch and a half of the floor. i dont know how these were mounted since they were in the car when it was bought.

my brackets are adjustable for height. michael, what do you mean you haev your seats adjusted all the way down? the stock seats arent height adjustable. i think mine sit about the same but they can be adjusted about 3 inches up or down. the sparco torinos are great seats, you can get them almost anywhere for $600, so i dont wanna say your friend got ripped off cause i dont know how $1000 cdn converts to USD.

Hey Cyan, does your seats work with the stock brackets or did you have to get the brackets and sliders as well? You have the Forza's right?

mine are height adjustable cause they have the 2 black knobs on the sides. didn't you know????

Yeah mine have those two knobs too. Think about getting a steering wheel also, it make your car more drivable.

I want a new steering wheel just for the fact that the horn buttons on the stock wheel suck SOOO bad. I end up wrecking my thumbs to get one tiny little honk. Not too intimidating.

Yep, two wonderful knobs....

I've thought about getting a new steeering wheel. One I like having an airbag in front of me if I, or soemone olse on the raod does something stupid. And two I don't like the large steering column cover sitting behind the small wheel, it looks disproportionate to me.

$1000 canadian is about $650-700. that included the base and sliders so it wasnt a bad deal. us canadians almost always get ripped off

i got an aftermarket steering wheel and it looks and feels alot better that that fugly factory one!!!

damn, 2 years with the stock seats and i never knew they adjusted for height. oh well but yeah, get an aftermarket wheel, airbags kill more people than they save anyway. and they are $1400 to replace if they go off on ya. and thats not an optional replacement

i like Chris's wheel but i agree with Michael_97RS... i like the fact that i have an airbag between my face and the wheel. not to joke in anyway but i dont want to have a steering wheel like Dale Earnhart's after i get in a wreck. also i noticed that Chris's light for his SRS stayed on the whole time with the new wheel. as far as racing seats go i want to know the confort level of sparco's like in the fast and the furious movie ??? also i dont want 4point or 5 point just normal 3 point harness. do the sparco's like slide forward and have any adjustability to them at all??? i know that teh back seat is a joke but i do take a friend back there sometimes when i have my woman with me and make my bro sit back there heheheh you know the saying bros before hoes... well bros dont give ya what a hoe can so in little things like sitting in back you better believe its the bro. This is the people down the street from me company there seats are pretty nice and i can get hooked up there. My friend got 2 of the top seats in blue with a BMW 2002 logo stitched on it for 480 with simpson 5 point harnesses. They can do any color combo you want also they make them custom for each customer.

the sparco turino is a great seat. they slide forward and bak and the recline and tilt forward like stock but they offer alot more support than the shitty stock ones. also the have a plave to mount the stock belts but, there is nothing like strapping in tightly with a four point harnes and driving like a mad man =)

LOL yeah but how do the 4 point mount???? you cant use the back seat then can you?

you can use the bottom mounts for the front seat for the sides of the 4 point and the rear seat bolts as the back mounts. but it just makes the back seat into a jungle gym, you can see that in my signature pic. (but it doesnt matter cause i dont have a back seat)
