After I installed my CD player, my interior lights (gauges, AC controls) don't work. I've already checked all my fuses so that isn't the problem. Is there a plug behind the CD player that connects all the lights to the power source? I know I saw something unplugged when I installed the CD player, but figured it was know big deal. I just need to know if this could be the problem before I take everything out and find out this wasn't the problem.

have you tried the knob to the left of the steering wheel?
and Im guessing your headlights are on

Yeah, my lights were on. I tried the dimmer switch, and it didn't work. I've tried everything short of opening my console up and checking for anything that might have come loose.

check your tail-light fuse... i know it sounds weird but check that...

What ^^^ said. Check your tail light fuse. I had my tail light fuse go out when the body shop guys pinched one of my tail light wires and so then none of my interior lights would work.

well i remember after i installed my indiglo gauges none of my interior lights worked (well my radio and HVAC controls didnt anyways, curtesy lights and domes still worked)...i hadnt the slightest clue why tho. check all fuses and still didnt work. i changed my head unit about 7-8 months ago and after that, everythig worked great! all my lights went back to working and all. i was happy! still remains a mystery to me why they werent working

Yeah, check the tail light fuse. I shorted out my lights twice already. Once was when I scraped my bumper so hard that my sidemarkers popped out, thus the wiring touched and shorted all the interior lights and my tail lights. Second time was when someone stole my sidemarkers and ripped out the whole assembly.

if its not the tail light fuse, you need to pop the hood. take the cover off of the fuse box by the ECU and you will see a bunch of fusible links and one yellow fuse holder with 2 red(10amp) fuses. its one of those if it isn't the taillight fuse.

All my interior lights went out yesterday too. I was just trying along next thing i know im in the dark but my head lights are still on. I just put in new TYC Tails bout a week ago. Which fuse is the tailight fuse?

Heres what could have happened. If all your fuses are okay, you could have shorted out your dimmer switch.

To fix the problem, Unscrew the bracket behind the dimmer switch so you can pull it out and get access to the wires. The dimmer switch has 3 wires that go to the back of it, 2 grounds and 1 power. Cut all 3 wires away from the dimmer switch harness, and connect the 2 ground wires to eachother. After that, you should be ready to go. You wont have a dimmer switch....but do you ever really use it?
