im not sure about typical filiment style bulbs, youll have to check the manufacturers specifications. if you are using LEDs, though, typically the longer wire comming off the "bulb" is the positive, and you can hook it up (with an inline resistor) to the positive battery termianl, and connect the shorter leg to the negative battery terminal. you could also use any 12ish volt system, wether its batteries, a tap frome wires inside the car, or a 12volt adapter for a home appliance.

go about 1/3 of the way down on the right fram to the section entitled "light emitting diodes". i just have to mention also how awesome of a site that is.

Go to this website, and follow these directions exactly. You can use a 9 volt battery to test them.

I just got my LED's hooked up to resistors too, and I was able to get them to light up with a 9 volt. Just make sure the resistor is on the positive wire on the LED (the longer wire). Also make sure you have the right LED's, cuz if you bought the infrared ones from radio shack, I think those are for the TV remote, and you can't even see the light from those. Check that website I told you about to know which LED's to get.

I have got 4 Blue LED's taped and ready to go for this mod. I was going to do it, but decided not to. These LED's cost 4$ a piece, ($16 value) and Ill sell them all to someone for $10. They are ready for angel eyes, all you have to do is make the ring. Let me know via e-mail if interested.
