39688, Where can I get blue gauge cluster bulbs Posted by FlyinEsi, Jan-29-03 09:21 AM
I checked at Checker Auto and Advance Auto (only 2 places in town) and both of them carry out tiny bulbs for behind the gauges, but neither of them carry any blue ones...anybody know where I can find some online??? TIA

our bulbs are clear and the gauges are orange. so if you got blue bulbs, it would be a mixture of blue and orange. just get some reverse indiglos like these

I just put in reverse indiglos with indiglo needles too and the bulbs behind are shining around the gauges and over the odometer and trip displays, I'm trying to get rid of all of that with blue bulbs.

here is what I have now, but with reverse indiglo blue gauges.

I don't think they make them. I think you have to hard wire blue LED's. If you find them, please give me heads up!

Um btw fauchpj I ordered a set of those guages from Ebay non turbo and they look a bit different from what the picture you have up, Ill post some pictures later and as you know with MOST of these fucking aftermarket guages it only goes up to 8k EVEN for MT so I install a shift light to light up at 7k so I know when to shift before redline :D

Those will just make your gauges look like crap! The light inyour gauges are WHITE no orange. Your overlays are orange so you still have to remove the facory overlays and sand them down so they are white

FlyinEsi: hondahater is right you will need to sand down backside of the guages so they can show white, and LB74 is what you want way at the bottom.
what was the mcd on the LED you used hondahater? I notice yours isnt as brite as iamnotwhoiam or do you just have it on low dim?

Hondahater, I already have the blue gauges and blue needles like you, what I'm trying to do is light up the odo and trip displays like you have too. When I turn up my dimmer the "white" light shows up *around* the gauges, not behind them, so it looks like shit with the dimmer turned all the way up. I'm just trying to get blue all the way behind the whole gauge cluster like you did. What did you do?

I use the same as iamwhoiam, my camera just sucks at taking pics of lights

What did you do? > Well in my cluster to get the OD to light up I have a led placed right on the clear plastic next to the OD. The led is really for my indiglow needles, but since its so close, it lights up the OD
