Is it possible for me to use a small red neon tube instead of the normal light bulbs to perform this mod?

i owuld say no, as it is a non-DOT approved bulb. Also, a neon bulb cannot be seen from the outside of the car. I would suggest using a DOT approved 3rd brake light off the wing of some other car, a subaru perhapse. Not that i have looked into it or anything ;)

By using the tail light mod on this site, is it possible for me to put the neon inside on the light instead of the smaller bulbs?

Dont use neon..use a LED bar like the ones from a brake light.They are stronger and will shine through more then a nron tube..trust me..I done it on my Spyder;-)

i was thinking bout doin that same thing that u did GSwede96, to get the outside to look like that did u just get the tailight painted and then take off the letters or something else. and do u have it hooked up like the brake lights so that they light up when u hit the brake cuz thats what i wanted to do to my tailight.
