3780, Information about removal of parts on 2g Eclipse Posted by rossbellamy, May-04-01 08:08 AM
I have a '98 Eclipse, and was wondering if someone could tell me how to remove the front and back bumpers, headlights, and tail-lights. Or I would appreciate someone telling me a link to a site that tells this info. Thanks.

On the front bumper, there are something like 9 bolts: Five across the top of the front, right under the lip of the hood; and two per side: One above each sidemarker light, and one right inside the fender wall. There are numerous plastic clips, air dams, and about two freaking tons of plastic that have to come out, as well. None of thathas to go back in, however, and you'll never even notice that it's gone. As for the rear bumper cover, headlights, and taillights... get a factory service manual.
Things to read that might help you: talon -> eclipse rear conversion, linked to in the mods section of the 2gnt main page. illuminated tail mod, linked to in the same way (for how to get those interior panels off to get at the taillights) intercooler install instructions at turbogs.com (if they're up yet) ______________________________________ -Dino Yancey I'm so bad, i should be in detention.
