Is it elec. or mech.? I have the elec. one and all I had to do was remove the stock oil psi. sender and and T it off with the autometer one. This can be a bitch because your pretty much working be feel and your reaching way up at the back of your engine.

Short Answer: If you have an Elec. one, NO. You don't have to drain your oil.

If your have the Mech. one then I don't know shit. :thumbsup

When I installed and uninstalled mine, a little bit of oil came out but it wasn't more than 1 oz or so.
