Pep Boys has APC steering wheels for around 60 bucks on sale right now. Now dont get me wrong I love my leather wrapped stock wheel, but i was seriously thinking of buying this APC wheel because it will go great with my color scheme. Anywayz, the question I have bothering me is I looked on the back of the box at the application chart and my 99 eclipse wasnt on there. I am assuming this is because of the whole air bag thing which i really dont care for anywayz. Each car listed had a different part number for the hub adapter. I dont really want to buy this wheel and not be able to use it so does anyone know what kind of adapter i would have to use to fit this wheel on my car? I would ask pep boys but in my years of asking questions at stores I have learned that the people usually dont have idea and just try to BS their way out of it. So if anyone knows any thing that might help me please let me know. Thanks

Exactly, the person who knows the most about your car is you. But i know pepboys installs sufff so you may want to ask. Or you could talk to 9D9mitsu he changed his wheel, or phil

you'd probably pay more than it costed to have it installed. disconnect your battery, take the stuff out, unplug the airbag. Then it goes from there. It's a pretty easy install. I got a momo. It has 6 holes. Check how many holes the apc wheel has, and maybe a momo, grant, or sparco hub will work. I still can't get the horn to work for more than a week tho. It's a PITA.

Hey guys, bear with me as I'm a newbie. Don't really know where to look and I came across your messages. Anyway, I too just got myself a Momo steering but, I'm not too sure how to get it installed. I took of the original steering without much problem. But behind my steering, there's something like a rotor which I think has something to do with the SRS airbag. That's my problem. I don't know how to take that off and I can't seem to unplug the wires. The wire harness is pretty stuck in the rotor. To add insult to injury, the SRS light on my dash is on. Could anyone please give me some help on how to take the rotor off, where to plug in the horn wire, and how to make the SRS light go away?

PS: My Eclipse is a 95' RS. Pretty bad shape and I don't have the $$$ to do it up as soon as I would like.

Well for starter's you have get that air bag rotor off since i had crashed i didn't care for my air bag much so i took that hub peace off by pulling it side to side till i yanked it ,as for the horn you have to re-wire it to fit the momo horn part i have a ichibahn steering wheel, someone did the horn for me..anything else?

my horn STILL doesn't work. The wires always pull loose and it stops working. I have coiled wire from a cell phone charger now that I plan to hook up eventually, but I know that will pull loose too. next plan- cut all the shit that's in the way that grabs the wires so they can move from side to side freely.

If you just yanked the airbag rotor off, wouldn't the SRS light be on? I was thinking of just slashing the wires and completing the airbag circuit by maybe joining the two airbag wires together. Don't know if that would work. Anyway, I'm not too sure about what to do with the horn still. Thanks anyway.
