I just took a couple of pictures of my new dual projectors and the HID kit. They aren't the greatest quality but it gives a pretty good idea of what they look like.

Im going to murder you and steal your headlight assembly.

I mean, looks great dude! is it legal? Blue fogs are illegal but do healdights count? Ive always wondered that. But looks great.

I don't see how they can say that they would be illegal cause if they were, wouldn't Lexus and Mercedes and every other car with HID be illegal too? Speaking of which, I did get pulled over last night because the cop thought my lights were too bright.

Dang you got pulled over for them already? So what happened? Ticket? Did the wannabe-hero just need an explanation from you? How stupid. So what happened

Posted by sonikbewm, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
The cop pulled me over because he thought I bought some blue bulbs from Autozone or some shit. I guess those are illegal. I didn't get a ticket. He tried telling me that my taillights were illegal too because he was too blind to see the DOT markings on them. Oh well, it's alright now. Here are a few pictures of the projectors in the daytime. The highbeam projector looks blue because I have blue bulbs in them and I just noticed that you can see my reflection in the low beam projector haha!

Does your hid came with a relay? Does any of the hids comes with a relay? Just wondering cause my hid did not come with a relay. When i first turn on the light at night it will come out bluish, but then it will turn to bright white not even a minute later.
37406, RE: Hanabi 8000k H.I.D. and APC dual projectors pics...

Relay is NOT needed for our cars since we have separate bulbs for hi and low beam. For cars like the WRX where the hi and low are on the same bulb(dual filament), it's better to have a relay kit.

Hands down that is the sickest headlamp set I have ever seen on a 2g? I am ordering the HID in two weeks. Can you tell me what to ask for from the guys at www.brucesspeed.com ? Do I just say the kit for 2GNT Eclipse's or is there a model number, bulb type, etc? TIA :thumbsup

when you call tell them that you are from 2GNT and you want the Hanabi 8000K HID Kit for $350 + shipping. Then they will ask for the bulb size and they will fax a receipt that you have to sign and send back.

So the kit will be based on the 9006 bulb? Also in your case that you have projectors now, were you able to use the same bulb or did you have to change? TIA.

You can get the kit in most bulb sizes. The Gen 3 dual projectors use the 9006 bulbs, same as stock. I wouldn't have gotten the projectors if they would have used H3 bulbs, been there done that once before.

how much were the apc dual projectors, can u get them from nopi?
37412, RE: Hanabi 8000k H.I.D. and APC dual projectors pics...
Posted by sonikbewm, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
They were $293 shipped. I had to get them from some other place because when I ordered them from nopi, they were sold out.

are the corners clear or amber? Yours alit up amber, but could be a bulb. Which is it? I really like those projectors.
also, did you seal them anymore or are they good enough as they come? I know some APC projectors and stuff like to leak/fog up.
37414, RE: Hanabi 8000k H.I.D. and APC dual projectors pics...
Posted by sonikbewm, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
The corners are clear. I just put in some amber bulbs. The cops here like to make an example of me to everyone else so I have to try to stay as legal as I can. They looked like they were sealed pretty good but I always go over everything with more silicon just to be safe.

you do know that the 9005 are high beams and the 9006's are your low's which you would use for hid's. and yes the 9006 are better in hid's

Yeah, the dual projectors have the DOT number and everything on them. 9006 HID is better than H3 anyday as far as I'm concerned.

yes i know 9005 bulbs are for high beam. i was wondering if those 9005 high beams will just plug right into the duel projectors or do i have to modify the hole etc?
thanks

Yes, both bulbs plug right in. The only modification that you have to make with the dual projectors is that you have to cut the wiring out of your stock headlights for the projectors.

As far as I know, APC is the only company to make dual projectors for our cars but I could be wrong.

sonicbewm,
Do you have any pics of the beam pattern shining on a wall or something? Like 6-10 feet away from a garage door?

No, I don't. I don't have the HID kit anymore or the projectors. Actually, I don't even really have a car. Sorry.
