37245, Predator hood, Blitz kit, all installed ***PICS**** Posted by chrysler kid, Dec-25-02 02:29 AM
I had to move two things to get the hood to fit. The pics suck cause a sprinkler went off on my car so its pretty icy, i assure you its not a cloudy headlight

37248, RE: Predator hood, Blitz kit, all installed ***PICS**** Posted by 9D9 MITSU RS, Dec-25-02 04:10 AM
is it me or is the driver side lined up and the passenger side is off more? (when lining up to the tip of the fender) If you can, try and compromise that so it isn't on 1 side and off the other. Slightly off on both sides isn't as noticeable as totally off on just 1 side. If you can get it closer, do it. If not, it won't be that bad.

37249, RE: Predator hood, Blitz kit, all installed ***PICS**** Posted by chrysler kid, Dec-25-02 05:08 AM
yeah the passenger side fender has a big dent in it and i think it pushed the fender upwards cause the headlight have a gap aroun the fender area.
I had to move the radiator Resevior and the ecu. as you can see in this pic i just slightly moved the ecu aside, and moved the resevior by the radiator. I also shaved 2 support beams off the underside, but looking at it now i dont think you really need to

37261, RE: NEW ***PICS**** Posted by djtrickee, Dec-26-02 11:11 AM
Are those 95-96 lights? cuz it doesnt look like the bumper fits around them very well. are you gonna get it all custom fitted at a shop so they can fix those gaps? It will look really tight when it is all fitted right and painted. What color are you gonna paint the car? sweet ride. -chris b.

37262, RE: NEW ***PICS**** Posted by chrysler kid, Dec-26-02 11:59 AM

37265, RE: NEW ***PICS**** Posted by IrishEclipse, Dec-26-02 01:32 PM
this is what the front *probably* will look like, except i got black lights. i tried that bendy thing, and it held up. I didnt exactly jump on it, but yeah, its one of the best made kits out there.

Did you get the import fan kit too? By bendy thing do you mean you twisted the bumper like on the web site? Did you pay extra for the blue class?

Looks pretty decent compared to before!
I was thinking about getting that hood once but I'll prob just get CF.
|
37272, chrysler kid: Posted by IrishEclipse, Dec-27-02 04:57 AM
yeah, i got it from GTP (importfan.com). So far, two shops have paid me to order more for them, and when I got my kit, I also ordered a predater and regular CF hood, and sold them for $1000 (not each). GTP should be paying me for my kit I'm getting them so much business. ;) When I tested the front, we twisted it, and folded it, longitudinally; as in top to bottom. It held up really well. The side vents had some roughage and the concave corners right by the part between the headlights had some cracks, but only in the gel coat. I didn't ask them specifically for the blue class, I'm guessing it was implied (with their advertised deal), or maybe because the size of my order they just threw it in. Make sure your sides are on perfectly before you seal and paint them, I had to do some minor alterations, because when it got cold, the door wouldnt close without banging the upright portions of the shirts. I didnt hack off those little tabs just because. No reason really, maybe they'll come in handy if I add some fogs, which I dont plan on doing right now. Overall, though, its a great kit. heres another pic:

Got my stuff i used my truck seens thats all i have to drive till summer The box was huge. 50 pounds about 6-7 feet long 3-4 feet high. Thought it was going to fall throw my truck (250 dollar toyota beater) The boxs hung off the tail get and i didn't have it straped in at all. So on the way home the wind starts rocking it side to side. Well had to pull over and i put a hole in it to put my finger in to hold it managed to get it home every thing looks good but the side skirts are kinda shitty. How should i get them on i am going to mold them on but i was thinking some super double sided tape so it will stay so i can do the bosy work. And did u have to trim ur side skirts because the way these are it won't let the door open so i will need to trim some i assume. Sorry so long. Anyone no where i can get some z3 fenders.

I got my blitz back bumper on tonight looks great went almost a little to well. I would assume the fron will be harder. And the side skirts aren't coming close to clearing the door. I can't wait till get the rally front on. I'll try to get pixs.
