how do you remove that without damaging the fron bumper? are there writeups out there?

Just carefully stick a small flathead screwdriver under it and pry up. Its just stuck on with adhesive. Then just clean the excess glue off with goo gone or something.

I just used my fingernails. Ouch. Didn't even remove the excess goo. Just put the new silver emblem on top of it.
