Well I finally installed my Nard i Classic steering wheel. I bought it from some dude on craigslist for 90 bux. It had some cracks and scratches but 90 bux is a good deal for a Nardi. If you don't know what nardi is they make steering wheels for like Miatas, Feraris, porsches, etc... in other words its good stuff. Nice double stitching, a wheel like mine goes for like 200+ brand new that is. These wheels are quite popular in japan as well.

Anyway I bought a Nardi Steeringwheel hub for like 25 bux on ebay which was made by sportline some small company I guess. Stupid auction said it was a nardi hub and guess what my nardi wheel didn't match up to the hub grrr. But I did noticed there were little bumps or dimples in the hub and I lines the holes on the wheel up to them and wadda ya know they line up. So I drilled them all the way through and tapped em and it worked got it to fit. Anyway here it is I don't think you'll see too many of these on eclipses cuz they looks best on older cars but I got it for functionality not looks but it looks hella better than the stock wheel.

The reason I like this wheel is cuz look at the spokes very thin and nice looking. You can grip this sucka anywhere you want pretty much, I can grip it at 9 and 3 good now. I usually drive 7 and 4 though. I also noticed the wheel weighs way less that the stock wheel and it's monster airbag. The leather feels great as well the stitching is slightly better than a momo. Also since there no big as air bag or spokes blocking your view I can see the gauges in my dash much easier now. Good stuff hope this thing lasts!

Well here you can see the diameter comparison with the nardi wheel. It's a tad smaller, the nardi is a 360MM but even though it's not that small it makes a big difference. I was shooting for a 350MM but this'll do anything smaller than 350 is too small for me.

Here's what I see when I glance at the gauges. Not bad I can see everything haha even inside the steering column.


NE know how to get rid of that space in the steering console? Should I stick a piece of clotch on it or something to hide all that stuff inside?

Does ne1 know how to get rid of that stupid SRS light also? I heard you can put tape over it, pull the bulb, or wire some kinda resistore to it, what do you suggest?

I pulled the bulb out of my CE light. It only takes a few minutes to pull the cluster out. Just remember which bulb it is on the gauge cluster, or you'll pull out the wrong one!

my take on the SRS- the bulbs are meant to come on so you can immediately fix things. It won't stay on forever. :P I like that wheel. Really clean. Is it quite a bit lighter than the stock one? I like the center cap you have there. Do they make blue or silver ones? Where did you get the center? Or should I leave the center as is? It has a swirl polished center with momo embossed into the center. That gap around the steering wheel hub, I put black electrical tape over the gap and then put more on top of it so no sticky sides were really exposed. Put some down long enough to get from side to side, then put sticky to sticky and on top of it so you don't get dust stuck to it, etc. Mine was just the bottom. Maybe it isn't down all the way? B/c mine was like yours was and then I realized the top wasn't clicked down on the bottom section.

nice wheel what are those buttons for on top? I got that sticker with the hub I bought, it's a really crummy hub also I don't recommend it but getting it for 25 bux you get what you pay for. The hub came with the screws, hub, hornbutton and that sticker. I'm sure the wheel is pretty well in there on the hub and the car hehe. My sugestion is get one of those mitsubishi wheel decals they have on ebay (you know for the centercaps) and just stick that on your center.

I got the buttons for the horn b/c I didn't know the wheel came with a horn button when I ordered. I couldn't get the horn button to stay connected anyways. I am still having problems getting the wires to stay connected. Gonna get some coiled wire.
