35850, pics of my car. good for a laugh :) Posted by slacker911, Dec-04-02 07:40 AM
I am working on it as time and money permits. I am putting every spare penny I have into this car, but I am in debt from so other things so it is going slow. Not sure if I will go all out show or just finish up what I have started and call it a day. I will post more pics in a few months when I have more stuff done (already have some stuff on the way). I will kinda list mods/work that has been done under each pic. Tell me what you think!! :)

When the trany blew I spent the last money I had to buy another reliable car so I could do all this. I could have been almost done with the eclipse and had a new trany if it were not for getting the other car, but I figured it would be nice to have a second car around for rainy or snowy days if/when I get the eclipse done.

The car will look good once you have put the money into it and are done with the job, as for shaved door handles basically you buy a hydraulic or neumatic piston and mount it in the door sill then you cut the locking mechanism outa the door handle and bondo or weld it over so that your car is electrically unlocked and it opens the door for you without using the door handle.

I am running from 7-10 psi on the mx-6 the stock wastegate sucks. It was stock when I did the 15.2. It is a great car and probably the only reason I am not realy in a huge hurry to get my eclipse on the road again. The only probablem is getting people with decently fast cars to race they all think its a waste of time and don't know what the BOV is lol
Shaving the handles is basicaly what he said. I shaved the handles and molded the door caps because I am getting ride of all the lines on the car. It makes the car look alot smother and alot better IMO. I also shaved the antenna, rear wiper, and filled in the indents (rain rails) in the roof. to go along with the smoth line look.

is there any writeups on how to do this so it would work with an alarm lets say ..this sounds really good and sounds like it would be a really good theft deterent

chrysler kid If you can get it for that price do it. I paid around 400 fo mine and would do it again. It looks great sounds great and is worth it even helped my top end a little too.
wtngclan Autoloc sells the kits that will open the door and you would have to get a body shop to do the actual shaving of them. You have to weld a peice of metal where the handles used to be then bondo it smoth. I do not recomend doing it yourseld unless you have a background in autobody or alot of time and $ incase you screw up.
