Your decal is sent in several pieces. This will make the installation easier, trust me. Also, the colors that go on top of each other are not installed yet because it’s best to install the decals one layer at a time. If you install the colors on top of each other, then install it on the car, there will be air bubbles all around the top layers.

You may want to start with a smaller decal first so you can get a feel for the way everything works. Also, you will want to install this in a garage or shady area, because the hotter the car is, the faster the vinyl sticks.


Tools required:

1. Squirt bottle
2. Squegee (similar to a bondo spreader, but more rigid)
3. Sharp knife (a small box cutter or xacto knife will be best)
4. Paper towels
5. Dish liquid
6. An extra pair of hands (or two)

Fill the Squirt bottle with water and add about 2 or 3 drops of dish detergent. No more than that or the mixture will be too slippery, and it will never dry. This mixture will be used to give you extra time to move the decal around on the vechicle to get it where you want it to be. It also will help keep air bubbles to a minimum.

Installation Instructions:

Note: There are two extra white square pieces for you to practice with. You should use these to get the feel for the material, and the amount of water to use on them.

1. Clean the area thoroughly with Windex or a similar cleaner. Also if the area has been waxed, the wax will have to be removed with a grease and wax remover because the decal will not stick to the wax as good as it will to the paint.
2. Peel the decal from the wax paper, being careful not let the decal stick to anything, especially not to itself. Spray the back (sticky side) of the decal with the soapy water. Don’t soak it, but spray enough so the decal doesn’t stick to the car immediately. If you get it too wet, it will take longer to dry and possibly cause the top layer of tape to come off prematurely.
3. With your extra set of hands (you could possibly do it by yourself, but I wouldn’t recommend it) place the decal on the vehicle where you want it to go. The water will give you some time to move the decal around for exact placement. After your sure of the placement, use your squeegee, and starting in the center, slowly and firmly press the decal to the vehicle working from the center out. You can hold the ends up slightly off the car, and that will make it easier to push all the water and air out without creating bubbles. If the decal starts to stick and you’re not ready, you can pull it up and spray it some more.
4. After the decal has been squeeged thoroughly and is stuck to the car, you can slowly remove the top layer of tape. You do not want to pull this tape straight out towards you, but rather flat against the car. If you pull it out straight, there is a chance that you could pull the decal off, as it is not completely dry yet.
5. Repeat this process for the rest of the decals.
6. You will have to trim around the wheel wells, windows, and the doors. This is done using the knife (box cutter, xacto, whatever). You will want to cut the decals back about 1/8” from any edges. This is because you don’t want it too close to the edges because dirt will get lodged under the edges, and eventually the decal will start to peel up. Be careful not to cut too deep. These knifes are very sharp, and can easily cut through the paint. You may want to practice on the extra pieces so you can get a feel for the pressure needed to cut the vinyl.


The vinyl will look a little wavy for a few days. This is because there is a thin layer of water under the decal that has to evaporate. Don’t try to push this water out because it will most likely cause the decal to wrinkle. The car can be washed after about four days (two days if it’s hot out). The decal can be washed but when drying, don’t use a towel, paper towels, or anything else that has small fibers, as these fibers will get caught on the edges of the decal, and eventually cause it to peel up. You can use a shamy (not sure if that’s spelled right) or soft cotton t-shirt. Also, I wouldn’t recommend waxing over the decal because this will cause it to fade.
