I think it has a screw on the side of the handle. In the door jam. It is a hex head nut. My handle was loose and i tightened this nut and it got tight again so this prolly takes the handle off.

Aww, if this ain't the BITCH of owning an Eclipse 2G. Iv'e broken 3 door handles(2 driver,1 pass.). They are not the easiest to replace. Hope your car is black cuz that's all the dealerships seem to carry anymore. They also want to charge over a hundred bucks to paint the damm things. I just went with the RS look:( Yes there is a nut on the inside. Hardly any room for big hands. You can do this yourself just make sure it's in the day cuz you need good light! Remember how the clip goes on, they don't leave you much room to stick your hand in there to squeeze it back together. You'll get pissed, but you can do it yourself.

yeah, i broke down and bought one from satan today. my cars red, so the black handle will stick out like a sore thumb, but im having the car repainted soon, so i think i can live with it for a month or so. i did find the screw on the inside of the door, and hate the way that f***er is in there. wish me luck as i attempt to do this myself, and have my car back together before work tomorrow morning.
