I want power windows, but I wanna see how much trouble it is to decide if I should do it myself or pay someone to save me the trouble. Anyone have pics or a good description? Also, about how long did it take to do it?

it's not that hard. only took me a couple hours. the second door was way faster. (first one took awhile figuring out how to mount stuff an run wires etc.) running the wires is prolly the hardest part. SPAL kits are very nice! sorry but i don't got a camera or anything... i think there was some pic on mike's site w/ someone's car that had a spal kit an had their door skin off... it was kinda hard to see but gives you an idea of what you'll be doin. lemme look.

there ya go. kinda gives you an idea of what you'll be doin. you can see the part that goes on the original crank as well as the motor that's mounted farther back on the door. ya just mount it an run the wires in to your switch. oh yea the thing i kinda like about havin after-market windows is that there's no switches on the doors. my window switch is mounted in the center (it goin where the ash tray was). makes more sense too if you're 5spd - don't hafta switch hands while you're drivin to open the window. plus i just think it's cool havin power windows an locks an no switch on the doors. hehe but that's just me. but personally i love power windows and don't know how i went that long w/o them. i think i just didn't use my windows before.

I have leather door panels from a 99 GS. With the power window switches. Can I use those switches and door panels with the SPAL kit? I want it to look clean and stock.

thanks. I am having my alarm done today, and they are installing power locks for me. I will probably get power glass in the spring. I have the leather door panels. :)
