sorry to post, im just happy cause i picked up my car from the body shop and it came out very nice

i originally had somone install my kit for mad cheap ...and it came out mad cheap lol he wasnt a body shop, just some guy that screwed it up there hehe...

so i brought it to a real shop to get fixed.....i must say, im very happy with the way it came out...

i just dropped it off to get painted last night, but ill post pics of it when i get it back..

i finally found my digital and am charging the battery now heh

sry to post off-topic, but icedout what's the code for the paint you've got. looks really nice. my car's the stock red but when i get it repainted after i get a kit i wanted a kinda deeper red like that. thanks!

*edit* haha or am i just a dumbass an is it the stock red but just looks different b/c of the lighting... i was lookin at some of your other pics an some of them look more like the stock red :P

hey koalakb, how much did you pay for the real body shop to put on your body kit? How much to get it painted? I am thinking about getting a body kit too, and was just wondering how much it all would cost. Thanks

my color is custom..... i used the base color p88 cayanee pepper red and added more pearls too it changing the color. you can see the difference when you open the hood or trunk or the car......

well dont forget i live in high price city (NYC) :D

but i called many body shops in my area and was generally quoted between:

400-700
500-750
750-1200

some of those prices included painting and some didnt. but basically i originally had a kinda friend who installed alarms (not body kits lol ) do it for $250 and i guess i was just hoping it came out ok...you know, the simple stick up there and screw in, no body work if needed cause he wasnt a body shop :D and i was praying it came out perfect but since these kits arent perfect fits, that didnt happen heh

so then i called another body shop who said he specialized in kits and he redid it for 500. i guess cause the kit was already on so we knew where the imperfections were and it was just a matter of taking those parts off, and doing some body work and filling in the holes we originally made, putting it back up, some bondo, some rubber stuff and some sanding heh

all together it cost me 750 which is roughly what i shouldve just spent to begin with to have it done right...

remember though, my price didnt include painting cause Maaco is giving me a free paint job...ill get my nice custom paint next year when i change the color...for now, maaco will get me through my broke year heh

i pray Maaco is able to hook up the paint on the urethane parts....ill definitely post pics on tuesday wheni get it back :D

btw, if all looks super sweet...i will be selling my stock front and rear bumpers, side skirts for mad cheap prices if anyone wants them... there 95-96 parts..i just want to get them out of my yard before my pops starts yelling :D

that pic is from right when it came out of the body shop. its some sort of paper they put in there to prevent paint from getting on the rest of the car when they painted the bumper
