Sup guys I got a kinda wierd solution for a problem I had I just wanted to share. So I bout 6 led bulbs from ryan_rs. They were great looking, they had chrome housing (not black) so there was no discoloration through my all clear tails. Anyway I plugged em in and WTF only three KINDA worked and the others were dead? well i told ryan and he was cool with me shippin em back ( they worked on his car) but then I was like screw it I might as well have SOMETHING kinda red rather then regular white bulbs SO i kept em. Well about 2 months have past and I finally received a fix-it-ticket from a cop so I went home to try to fiddle with these bulbs because I thought LED NEVER burn out... I got frustrated and I threw them on the ground to see if that helped :P (the way you hit the TV when it gets fuzzy in hopes of a better picture) wel that didnt work so I figured "what the hell" if they dont work then they dont work. Somehow I got the notion throwing them in a bucket of water would help (anger manegment courses have yet to kick in) I pulled them outa the water and OMG it helped so I tryed another bulb and I got another crazy idea, "I'll throw em in HOT ass water" EVEN BETTER!! it helped! then I decided to throw them ALL (6) in boiling water. (who cares at this point right?) Eureka BEAUTIFUL! they all work hella good VERY VERY GOOD. only one problem though, I think its only temporary because I saw one flicker after a while. well i got em for a good price so THANKS RYAN :-) and who else has LED bulbs in their tails, just wondering...

I'm not sure what happened here, but water + electricity isn't always the best of ideas. I know it worked, but be careful!

It was outa fustration. My thoughts were to obliterate them, or at least thir "light-up-at-all" abilities, but then I felt bad I did it and try to put em back in, and it seemed to help so I did it again. :thumbsup whatever works right

hot water + metal = expansion. sounds to me like the LEDs were fragile and got loose somehow, heating them made the metal (or whatever) expand and re-attach. its kindof like a cold solder, where it workes sometimes and sometimes doesnt depending on the ambient temp and other stuff. and you can throw whatever kind of electronic stuff you want in water....as long as it doesnt have any power source or capacitors on it. let it dry off and itll still work (assuming the mineral content of the water wasnt high enough to stick to parts of it). thats my best guess. do i get a cookie? ;)

next time i break something i am gonna throw it in some hot water before i try anything else.:D
