How would i go about wiring the oem switches to where an aftermarket switch would be. ive seen most of the switches for our cars and they usually have some type of harness to plug into it. is there any way to get around that? i know grneclipse did it but he doesnt come here a lot anymore tia

if ya can figure out the wiring you don't need the harness. basically that switch is just two relays. all it's doin is changing the direction of the current flowing to the window motor. current one way - window goes up. current the other way - window goes down. on my aftermarket switch to go w/ my SPAL window kit, there were 6 pins: 1 ground, 2 positive, 1 connected to parking lites, and the 2 which go back to the window motor itself. if your switch arent' illuminated it prolly will only have 5 pins. i'm pretty sure all switches work the same way. what does the underside of the switch look like?

the wiring harness is really just to make it easier to hook it up to the switches. my switches came w/ the harness but i was thinkin about not using it for awhile to save space where i was mounting them. im pretty sure the stock switches are the same way... personally i found it easier to keep the stock door skins an mount the switch in the center console area. pretty neat having power locks and power windows and not a single switch on either door...
