ok tinting windows costs $100-200..i'm just wondering..from stock windows..you can see through the car..with the legal limit in a state (lets say VA cause thats where im from) the limit i think is like 35 or 38% tint..would that make my car look better? can you even tell the car has tint? do any of you think your car looks a lot better with tint? Thanks..

Tint is awesome. I would pay to have mine done again if I needed to. It helps with the sun and I think it made a huge difference on the appearance of my car.

Tinting prices greatly vary from state to state
I was quoted 300 bucks in Illinois to have all windows tinted and ended up getting it done in florida when I was on vacation for 100 bucks (mirror tint too)

But you need to call your local police dept. for tinting laws and regulations

Here is a pic of mine. I think it was the first thing I did to my car, say almost 4 years ago. Still looks great. Laws vary alot. I have never been stop for mine, 35%, but other friends have. In my state you have to get a sticker for each window from DMV for them to be legal no matter what. I to the date haven't and have been stopped 3 times in the past 3 years, for other violations...But get them, they are worth it. What color is your car?

Tint is defintely worth it...even if you have to go with a light tint it will help tons with glare off the road, heat coming in from the sun, and looks improve almost as much as when you throw some dubs on your car!

Tinting was the first thing I did to my car.

I need to redo mine. When I didn't have seats, I let my pooch get a ride. Damn dog loves to ride. Say "Let's go for a ride" and she'll go to the door and jump in the car. She scratched my tint a little. It was peeling anyways. Lifetime warranty against peeling and scratches I think. I paid about 150 if I remember. Been done for a while. And yeah, makes the sun a lot less bright to you and helps keep ur interior cooler and keeps fade down. Also a nice look.

Tint is worth every penny.

Not only does it make your ride looks nice. It will help keep the heat away, prevent fading inside your car and if your window ever gets broken, the tint will hold all the glass together.

Getting the windows tinted was the first thing that I did to my car too. Ended up costing $140 to get 35% all the way around.

I got 5% all the way around cost 159. 35 is legal here i got pulled over once and he said it was border line< the sune was coming in the front window. Thats why i think he let me go. :)

It depends on if you want to have a show car with a nice interior. If you want to enter shows, I would suggest not getting tint. Cars look much cleaner without tint imo. But if you just want to block out the sun and have a bit of privacy, get tint. I got limo tint on all three rear windows and medium tint on the front ones, but then got a ticket for the front ones.

TINT IS DEFINATELY WORTH IT IMO, IM FROM VA TOO, THE LAWS ARE 50% ON THE FRONT TWO WINDOWS AND 35% FOR THE REAR WINDOWS. TRUST ME, I KNOW, IVE GOT SEVERAL TINT TICKETS , YEA YOU CAN NOTICE, AND IT HOLDS COLD AIR FROM THE AC IN, AND BLOCKS A GOOD AMOUNT OF SUN. ITS REALLY NOT THAT DARK THOUGH, IM RUNNIN 5% ALL THE WAY AROUND AND 50% ON THE FRONT WIND SHEILD, YOU CANT SEE IN IT FOR SHIT, LOOKS REALLY STEALTH, KINDA PHAT WHEN U PULL UP BESIDE SOME ONE AND ROLL DOWN THE WINDOWS, AND THERE AMAZED BY THE AFC AND GUAGES AND BLINKY LIGHTS;-). Although Ive gotten 4 tint tickets, the law is 75% light transmission here in Iowa, The tickets are only $38.50, so spread out one about every year its not too bad, , and theyre not moving violations either..

Mine are tinted 20%...In Pennsylvania it's illegal to have any tint on the front windows, but oh well... If i were you, I would get it done, it makes it look pretty tight...mine was about $200

I tinted my windows myself. Bought the crap at checkers. Did a perfect job, took my time. No bubbles, perfect cut, looks completely professional. Its better though, because instead of $200 I spent $30, and instead of 35% light transmission, I have only 8%. Doubled up on the tint :) Doubled the 15% tint, so I have 7-8% i guess. cant see a damn thing, but its nice knowing no one can look in so I can pick my nose constantly and all that. Also, looks nice with black windows, looks cleaner. At night, lets hope no one has their headlights off because even with their headlights on its still hard to see them. Oh but the privacy is unmatchable.
