I bought an autometer gauge bezel (the one that puts two gauges around the instrument cluster) and can not get a Sport Comp series gauge to fit correctly. The gauge is an oil pressure gauge and the light bulb holder that plugs into the back of the gauge sticks out too much and I have to tilt the gauge sideways to get it to fit correctly in the bezel. The light bulb holder hits the clear instrument cluster cover when I try to slide the gauge in place. My other gauge is an A/F and it fits fine. Now my oil pressure gauge is tilted / rotated 45 degrees to the right.

Is there a shorter light bulb holder I can get? Is there another way around this?

That's exactly what I did. The bulb socket isn't long enought to obstuct, it's those long metal rods, you can bend them, but be careful no to break the gauge. Your best bet is to cut them slightly if you can, an inch is fine. Later.

You can see my oil on the left here.

Yeah, same here....just cut off the metal threaded rods on the guages.

I have already cut down the long brass screws to the same length as the screws where the contacts are. I can cut them all down a little more..... I will try that this weekend.

Also I do not like the color of the bulb or the covers that come with the gauges. Do they make a replacement bulb that is more amber in color?

Thanks for the tip.... I like those cobalt gauges.

Yeah they sell different condom colors for the lights. I just went to a local race shop and pick up some blue ones for mine,

Does anyone else have a fit/finish problem with the bezel?
Mine seems to have a bit of a gap on the sides that's pretty obvious....does anyone else have this?

And yeah, trim the screw (only the one hitting the gauges is nessicary) all the way down, and it will fit perfectly....i just installed my gauges last weekend :-D
