Ive tried asking many times how to get the murky color off the headlights but no one was able to give me a straight answer. This is not the same as fog but instead a yellow tint that occurs. I was told toothpaste would take it off but it didnt take it all off. SimpleGreen did not work either. They looked good for about 30mins but after that they went back to murky. I was told a lot of things but none worked too good.

So I simply just tried some Turtles Tar Remover on it and it left it looking brand new except for the already existing scratches. It has never looked this clear. And I know Im not the only one with this problem because Ive seen almost EVERY single 95-96 in my hometown with the same exact problem.

Anyone know why the 95's/96's do this? Anyways, just wanted to let you know what REALLY works! Try it out (hint Chrysler kid)

mine does it too, you just rub it on the outside?

i just used some clear plastic polish from my local car shop... works great. cleared it up pretty well. still needs to be polished again every few weeks but looks 100x better than they did when i got the car a couple months back. before you couldn't see inside the driver's side. like you really couldn't see the bulb or anything in the housing. after a couple minutes of polishing they were almost perfectly clear. of course they do show their age an i think some've the stuff's on the inside too... but they look waaaay better an it only took a couple minutes. i'm pretty sure any type of clear plastic polish should work fine. i'm still gettin new dual projectors when i get my kit an stuff but it's a great way to make them look a lot newer

I used BluMagic Plastic & Plexiglass cleaner and light sscratch remover. I used this first then I used Bluemagic Luiquid metal polish amd the headlight is like new. I bought this at Pep boys.

i used metal polish, the blue paste stuff and it works like a charm. but it seems after i wash my car i need to re polish the lights again. also makes our backup lights a little clearer. speaking of which, does anyone know if they make clearer 95-96 reverse lights?

toothpaste works. I tried it on someone else's car b4.

yeah nothing worked for mine i wax it and it looks about 90% clearer but after a little while of driving it goes back to yellow, BTW i found out what caused the yellowing when i took apart the headlight and took the yellow piece out
Its a bas seal, there is a part of the headlight that is exposed by a gap in the sealant and when i re sealed the light after taking the yellow out the gap was gone but its as yellow as ever , oh well

i fixed mine buy replacing them with 97+ headlights :-)

but yeah i hated that murky yellow crap on my drivers side light, never did it to the passenger, tried lots of stuff and came close to clearing it, but never lasted or got it close to what i wished it to be, so i just replaced them.

well my headlights never had that problem, but i decided to replace them with the new style anyway. hehe

chrysler kid, just buy this stuff! it costs $2 and still today they look great. I tried toothpaste too and it would work but then after driving for a while it would turn yellow again. Try it, and you wont be dissapointed ;)

Heres what I did, and it didnt just work but restored it to crystal clear. I mean CRYSTAL CLEAR>

It cost a few dolla' if you know what I mean. I got 20/20 glass polish, 3M metal polish, mother's metal polish, and maybe another polish. whatever looks good.

I rubbed 'em on, and rubbed hard. I put one liquid on and rubbed like fuck, on the outside of the lense. Rubbed hard. Then switched to another liquid, rubbed like fuck, switched and rubbed etc etc etc. Well, took me 2 hours, maybe more for my murky headlight, and I had sooooooooooooooooooore arms. But, it was crystal clear. A year later, now, theres a slight fogginess coming back. But itll only take a half hour to get rid of it. The initial fight is a hard one tho.

or why not just take 2-3 mins and do it the easy way?
