Yea they make them in the 5 lug pattern. I have the 17 x 7 MR7s and they look great IMO. Looks even better with a drop...

Here is the excel from that site....$799 for 17X7

and here is the Motegi...$899

Why the $100 diff? Are the Motegi's that much better??
I really like those wheels also.

Anybody know where to get them in nor. Cali or better yet in the bay area? I dont want to pay shipping and I think the last time i checked summit they didn't have chrome. The reason I LOVE these is because they nice an plain. Very clean you know and not too busy looking like they can fly or something. They also look really easy TO clean. I want 18" and that another price hike. So chrome is like a $100 extra a wheel and to go from 17" to 18" is like ANOTHER $120 p/wheel. Can anyone advise?

I would strongly suggest NOT getting chrome. Get alloy. And yes those rims are easy as hell to clean, much like mine. My rims remind me of those.

Motegi does make them in a 5 lug pattern. As far as the difference between "brands" there really is none. There are only a couple of rim manufacturers out there. They sell the rims to different companies where they in turn put there logo/model info on the wheel and/or the centercap. Motegi rims are manufactured by American Racing.
Personally I like the chrome rims, but you've got to baby them more than the others.
Nice choice for your ride though. ;)

is that "pheonix" thing an inside joke i don't get? Wasnt there a chaiin of rim-jacking going on there a while back. *GASP* was that you??!!!!

34245, RE: Motegi mr7's Posted by Ryan_Hes, Nov-14-02 02:22 PM
Main difference between brands is the weight. Konig Tantrums are identical to my rim cosmetically, but a 19" Kinig Tantrum weighs less than my 28lb. 18" MR7.....however, I saved hundreds just choosing Motiegi over Konig..and it kinda seems since I got them Motegi is becoming more popular, not as much of an 'off-brand'

GASP! yea that was me....I just got my replacements put on, with lug locks. And naturally I'm looking for a car alarm.
