well today i went to change my HVAC LED's to blue and everything is going fine until i went to put the new LED back into the back for the HVAC controls....

it was really hard getting the LED out, i had to use needle nose pliers and do the 1.4 turn right but igot it ......but when i go to put it back in...for some reason im having extremly big difficulties...and ive broken a few LED's trying and had to redo the whole sodering process :(

my only other option is to remove the HVAC controls completly but i cant figure out how to do that..

can some please guide me to removing the HVAC controls so i can see the back of the controls ?

do i have to remove the dash? or can it be done without doing that... please give me a walkthrough

my car is in pieces and i have to go through all this trouble just because of this one LED i cant get in..

I've never actually done it. But from what I undertsand:

There are 4 screws in the front of the HVAC you'll have to remove and there's a plastic tab that needs to be borken off. the tab is part of a large plastic structure that extends out the back of the HVAC. The tab will be in the drivers side close to where you're knee would be. Supposedly the tab is there only for assembly purposes and you shouldn't have any problems after you break it off.

ok, ill take a look at it first thing tomorrow, otherwise, im gonna have to remove the entire dash...

is this tab thingy big? i remember seeing the plastic thing connected to the metal by my knee...i hope that is what you are talking about.

it isnt easy to remove the HVAC contols, i used a jigsaw to cut through them when i removed them. i agree with the above poster, you need to remove the 4 screws and do a little bit of hacking to get them out.
