i have autopower rollbars in my car. unfortunatly the thing bolts down right where my rear speakers used to be. any ideas on how i cover the holes where the grills used to be?

Fiberglass but it will take some work. If you have any experience working with fiberglass it shouldn't be that difficult.

I would probably just cut a hole in the center of the speaker grill and stick it back on with the bar running thru it.

its not that easy, i already tried that. maybe i could done that and made it look okay if i had done it before i installed the bars. i screwed the grills all up trying to get the hole in the right spot and i had to cut it so it would slip around the bar. it looks like shit like that.

Maybe you can make a wooden plug type of thing with a hole and cover it in leather, vinyl, or whatever u want. Maybe buy a sheet of CF and make it fit in. May have to put screws in it, but a few small screws will be ignored with the cf. Or just leave it. It is gonna be understood that a roll bar may cause some sacrifices. You can either pull the bar back out to install something, or pay more to have something else done. Chances are, even with a more expensive route, the bar has to come back out.

yeah i bolted it in when i got it and then had a friend weld it in later.

Dam do you have any passenger seats back there?

right now i just have the bottom part of the seat on, just for some noise reduction. i was thinking about getting it carpeted instead of having the seat in.

personally, I wouldn't have welded it in when it had the bolt-in option. Cages/bars are usually either or. It's kewl, but I would rather have bolt in that way if I wanted to powdercoat it later or whatever.

well i got it cause i do alot of interstate driving and i usually keep it between 100 & 120mph, and my brother kept bitchin about how i was gonna get a blow out and die. i figure i should have it as solid as possible so when i do get a blow out it'll be eaiser for the cops to drag my body outta the car.

chasis:
8 point rollcage with removable door bar. reinforces the roof, due to the targa top

its a 4 point, it mounts in the corners infront of the rear seats and where the rear speakers used to be. it has a removable cross bar that goes from right behind the driver seat to passanger seat at about half way up. it also came with a removable(not really) bar that goes from the bottom on the passanger side to the top right above the drivers seat but i didn't put it in so i still had a passanger seat. now i cant install it because there is no way i can get a bolt into the bracket on the passanger side cause its right up against the back seat. i know this is confusing, the way i described it cause i'm confused right now. let me see if i can find a pic.
it would be like the bottom pic with the cross bar being removeable and adding the bar from the top one that goes side to side in the middle.
i don't like the fact that i had to remove my rear speakers and that it gets in the way of my stock seat belts. i need to get some harnesses

Hey man. I was wondering if you can still recline your seats anymore at all. Does it make it uncomfortable when driving for awhile?
Also, where did you get it at and how much was it. Take some real pics of it.

You could use some cardboard and make a template. Then transfer to some lexan or thin plywood, and cover it with vinyl or paint to match your interior.

Do you think you could take another pic with the seats slid al the way back and then recline it as far as you can. I'm 6'3", 200.lbs and thats how I have to ride. I just want to see if I can keep my seats the way they need to be so I can drive.

the seat are as far back as they can go while keeping them slightly reclined. the bar that goes across in the middle is removable(i don't remove it though) and you can buy them with out it. i will go take some more pictures. be back in a couple minutes.

hey, no trouble at all. its not like i work or go to school or actually do anything at all. but i almost forgot the other bar





with this one in it would be better if i had racing seats(drivers head rest) and if the passanger seat was removed. also the stock seatbelts need to be replaced with harnesses cause the bar is in the way.

no i don't like the way those look. right now i am still trying to fill those holes and i am trying to get rid of all the tan pieces.
