Aftermarket Carbon Fiber Hood - Should u use some kind of heat shield? Or should it be fine without anything? You should use hood pins corrects? How are they installed?

Body kit/Wing - Approx how much is it to get a body kit (side skirts, front and back bumper) and a wing installed and painted (assusming i keep the car black and the fit is pretty good)? Approx how much is it to get the kit molded? If I got it molded, do they have to paint the entire car? If so, approx how much is that?

Thanx, Brad

well i dont have a c/f hood, but from what i get out of people who have them, you dont really need a heat shield unless you have an aftermarket turbo, then youll need one. it probably couldent hurt to put one on tho. you HAVE to have hood pins, the hood is like 20lbs or so and can cause serious damage and wrecks if it comes back and hits the car. the pins are actually attatched there at the front, theres a metal bracket there and youll need to drill a hole in your hood where the pins come up and then you run locking pins through this hood pins to keep it locked down. hope this answers all your questions.

read up on http://seangordon1.tripod.com/how.html

hood pins isnt necessary, but if u want to keep your hood when your doin over 40+mph, get dem pins....

heat sheild isnt necessary, but id rather be proactive than reactive....
