33533, Headlight Adjustment

I have a small problem, my headlights aim downward! When driving at night I am lucky if I have a 15 foot visibility in front of me! The problem wasnt this bad, I just got the car and one headlight was ok and one aimed downward. I looked around the engine bay by the headlights and saw a grey gear looking knob, thought that was for adjusting the headlights to I turned it, and I noticed the air bubble on the little leveler just above the knbo moved, the air bubble (sorry i dont know the name) moved to the center and I stopped, then I get in my car tonight and my headlights are aimed downward. Where is the headlight adjuster? And if it is the grey knob and the leveler, where should the air bubble be? Thanks guys!

The air bubble should be right in the middle. You have to adjust it when you are on completely level ground though or else it will be off. :thumbsup

Make sure the headlight bolts are tight cuz if they aren't then its no good. The adjusters look like a sproket(star) looking thing. Take a phillips screwdriver and use that to adjust it. Each headlight has 2 adjusters, one vertical and one horizontal. Hope that helps.

Thanks guys! I think my first problem was when I was in my driveway, its at small angle, so even though the leveler looked level it wasnt. I will have to find the one that is vertical not horizontal. Thanks again.
