just bought a used kaminari kit, which was painted sliver.
i wanna get the sliver off b4 i go to have them painted. what grit of sand-paper should i use? wet-sanding or just sanding? any advice would be helpful. thx

I bealieve that u can usually wet sand it in stages starting with 800 then moving on up to about 1500.

Someone else plese jump in here and correct me if i am wrong. But i thought that sounded right.

start out with 400. i think going up to 1500 would have no effect on it. might be too fine

Yeah wet sand with 400 grit and then do some 800, 1200, 1500 at the very end. But leave the silver, just sand the clear coat off. The silver can help act as a primer/base coat...
