as far as removing the headlights . . . there are two bolts behind the headlights (in the engine compartment). the 3rd final bolt is under the headlight (3rd bolt is highlighted by the red circle).
to reach this bolt, i stuck my arm through the "fog light" opening ( highlighted by the green circle). once the 3rd bolt is out, disconnect some wires & presto ur headlight is out. btw correct me if i left or gave incorrect info.

I am not sure about the different gen projectors. You don't really need a new bumper, i have a 95 bumper with 97 projectors and all is well. If anything it aids a lil more in cooling the engine bay :). But yes, you can use an aftermarket front end, or a stocker. Either will look sweet. I believe the 1st gens are a circle projector and a square light for highs, while the 2nd gen's are just two circles. If that is correct, then the gen 2's need to have special attention to wiring, you have to fiddle around with splicing n whatnot with them. Gen 1's are just plug n play. One thing to watch out for is the round covers on the rear of the headlight. Try to get your stock ones to fit on your aftermarket ones. The aftermarket ones will fall off in no time, i am missing 2 out of the 4 myself :p. Good luck mang :thumbsup

ok i basically have the same question kinda...

basically i have a 95 eclipse and want projector headlights but it seems that is hard to get for a 95 because of the front bumper or something... i am currently in the market for a body kit...

so your saying a 97 projector headlight will work/fit with a 95 eclipse with a body kit?

ive been told that a 97-99 proj headlight will fit a 95-96 but there will be a small gap on the inner corner or something....then ive also been told it will not fit cause of clips or clamps or something..

can someoe please verify before i go buy my headlights and body kit?

once my sig is up you can kinda see the gap that is left. My car is a 95, and i have the 97 projectors. They fit fine. And yes, if you get a bodykit, it will do away with the gap. AS LONG AS YOU GET A 97+ KIT. :)
