How hard is it to remove the dashboard and where can I get the paint and the carpet to change the color of the interior. Thanx for the help.

The dash is a pain in the ass to take out the first time, from what i hear.. You just have to look for all the mounting points and unscrew them, and disconnect all harnesses. You must de-activate your airbags by disconnecting the battery, then taking out their fuses, and then disconnecting the harness. The process is easier with more then one person, as the dash is hard to maneuver by yourself. You can get the paint from all over the place online, i am pretty sure you can get it at any local pep boys, autozone, etc. I, personally, am using Krylon spray paint, and it is coming out good. As far as carpeting, JC Whitney i believe has a selection of pre-cut stuff. Hope i helped at least a tad bit :thumbsup

Would it be easier just to remove the front windshield and paint the dashboard like that?

USAF96 has a really good dash removal write up here:

its not really THAT hard, its just time consuming. i partially took mine apart the other day and it only takes about an hour and a half the hard part is definatly lifting the dash off. im not sure if its neccisarry to remove the steering wheel or not, but it looks like it to me. good luck!
