drill the top parts (well they are really the side parts) and use some grommets to secure them in the holes

Man this is how you mold or add side skirts. You place the side skirt in place and drill small pilot holes. Then you use a rivit gun not screws. Then you shave the head of the rivits and use glass bondo then paint. Belive me it will look sweet. Check my ride out

I have GSX skirts on my RS no door caps.. The shop that did mine just lined up the grommet holes using paint on the tips of the grommets, drilled and popped-em on. The stock skirts have a lot of holes from what I remember like 18 per side so they are not going anywhere (no tape needed here)

he wanted to know how to do stockers, not fiberglass. the stock ones have places that show you where the grommet goes

haha I"ve never done it b4 but couldn't you use double sided tape? That way you don't have to do no rivetting or drilling. As long as the surface is clean double sided tape should be pretty strong. Well not some cheap ass double sided tape.

What size grommets do you need? I know you can get them from Satan, but I don't want to pay outrageously for them.

go buy like one or two at satan (1.30 each for me) then take them to autozone or napa or some parts store to compare what size you need
i just got all of mine at satan because i wanted the right piece that was made for the skirt

You can't use 2 sided tape period. It will not hold.
Maybe someone saved my pics from way back when. I took like 5 pics of the install. I just drilled holes in my side and than popped in the grommets. I used like 3 each side or something.
