My vote here goes for rice, but like someone above said, to each his own. Then again, im one of those people who's car is stock no matter what they do to it, don't forewarn the people what they are going against, just laugh when they get left behind.

IMO I think stickers are rice too (except for 2GNT stickers of course). Dont really do anything for your car performance wise or appearance wise. I dont want strangers knowing what I have on my car anyways.

no they wouldnt take that, but they will break into your car because they think that you have an expensive system to go along with the expensive car and the sticker that says you have alpine equipment in your car

However......I want to know why it looks like your muffler is falling off, or is hanging down and sticking out the back of the car kind of far? Is the hanger missing or broken? I think that is the only thing that is taking away from your car in my opinion. Here again...no disrespect is meant....:thumbsup

well i for one think it looks very nice. i do however agree with getting rid of the alpine sticker. everyone here at my college that advertised their system with stickers has had their shit jacked. i had an mtx sticker, but quickly removed it. but i have TOYO TIRES decals on my car and maybe gonna put a couple more on it. some stickers look good, while others look like crap. as long as you like how it looks, thats all that matters.

I think it detracts from the car's general scheme, it interrupts the paint and let's people know what you have. I think your car looks great without them but if thats what you want, you pay for it, you do what you like.

even if you didn't have a alpine sticker, when they see rims on your car then they know you have a nice stereo

I think they look good. Never was a fan of them on a daily driver though. Gives a thief a heads up of what they can find. Even with a sticker aof your alarms company can give them a heads up on what to expect when breaking in. IMO, stickers should be from actual sponsors. I have a 2gnt sticker on my car, only other i will get on it is my car club, unless i am paid :thumbsup...In all honesty though, it looks good, jus eb a lil more careful :)

How in the world do rims correlate to a nice stereo? My stereo was bumpin way before my rims.

I like your car with and without the decals! its nice. The decals give it a racier look while still keeping the clean image. I say go ahead and finish what you have started. And as for stereo thievz my gf lives in miami her car has been broken into like five times for her stereo. She doesnt have any stickers! All five attempts to get it failed. Oh and where did you get that ingalls sticker?

When I ordered my ingalls camber kit, they sent me the decals, thanx for yur opinions guys, I really appreciate it.

Nope, the moonroof was a factory option. Its even listed on the window sticker (I bought it used, just found the sticker in with the owners manual).

I say they are alright, just I'd be weary of the alpine one myself if I were you.

Looks fine to me.. but again you are attracting thieves. On the other hand if someone is that interested in your car they will break in no matter if you have stickers or not.

I say it's rice when you put a company logo or name on the entire side when you aren't sponsored, or when you add logos/names that you don't have any products from. IE I saw a 2gnt the other day with DC Sports decals. RICE. I have a few decals for a "roll call" on my rear side windows and my rear glass. Momo, Enkei, Tokico Illumina, Corbeau, Eibach, www.coximport.com, audiobahn, K&N, and then my car club logo. I will have the viper responder whenever the bastards at DEI release it to the east coast. I have one ordered. At one time I scraped my decals, but I went back on with some. I don't think it's tacky the way I have it, or the way you have it. I also like it when you make a straight line under the windows along the door windows, and back. Don't worry about what people think about decals. Just if u are gonna have them, make sure it looks clean. Don't put them here and there, try and keep them str8, etc.

as far as the what does rims have to do with stereo comments? You did have your stereo before your rims. I'd bet 90% of the people here ALWAYS had a good stereo before rims... So if they have rims... Theres a 90% chance they got a stereo! Atleast thats how it seems imo.

having alpine decals attracting thieves is bullshit. I'm sorry to say it, but if your car looks the way it does, decals or not, thieves are gonna be attracted. My car back in the day looked stock, except for rims, tail lights, and the muffler. The broke into it and stole my shit. It can happen whether u have the decal or not. I'd leave it on.

Decal or no decal, that's like saying, take your rims off so people won't notice your car. That's what insurance is for. Someone steals shit, sure it's a hassle, but it's covered. I wouldn't change my car a bit except for an alarm just b/c some would-be thieves. Chances are, they will get you anyways. My car had no decals when they stole shit from me. It had rims and tail lights, and a cheap intake. They don't look for decals. After all, people do load stock cars down with decals to try and look modded. Thieves don't trust decals anymore really I wouldn't think. It's all in how your car looks, not about decals. If it looks modded, decals or not, they know chances are it has some stuff they can steal.

9D9 is right if they want it they are gonna take it. Doesn't matter if you have a alpine sticker on the side of your car or any other for that matter. Its not like anyone couldn't just walk up to your car and look in at the stereo anyway. Do you think car theives only steal cars that have the car make and model stickers on it? If so I'm good because I removed mine. What about tires, they have the name right on it maybe we should fine a way to cover that up too... Just my two cents...

But unless sponsored, and even if I was I wouldn't be willing to dedicate my whole side of the car to a company name or logo, just a small space on the windows. I have some decals. I have 3 from corbeau, and 2 from cox imports. The rest aren't sponsors, but just very reputable brands that satisfied me. The only questionable ones are the small super street decal and import tuner decal. I like those mags tho. I still like the content most of the time. I hope to try and get coverage one day as well, so why not. I would rock a turbo mag decal if I had one. Cars in Japan rep Option 2 decals, etc. It's worldwide. Some people like it, some don't. This topic gets brought up a lot. It's only rice if it's tacky, played out, or just ghetto as hell. Otherwise, it's just your tastes, opinions, or beliefs. What you wanna do is what's best. I have had my car called rice by a guy who drives a Z28. I told him, well, atleast mine stands out. Yours is just like every other z28 out there. I personally don't care that he makes a dickhead out of himself to tell me an ignorant statement. He then said that anything Japanese was rice. I asked supras?skylines? Nah they got a V6. I was like, u find me a supra or skyline with a v6. All the ones I ever saw had either turbo I6's, or turbo 4's. Most of the time, people take rice out of context. These days, cars have decals. Cars also have a lot of similar things. When a car is mostly stock, runs 16's or slower, and acts like they are the shit, they are ricy. Rice is more of an attitude than something u do to ur car. It's the kid with the upside down visor that looks str8 ahead when he tachs his car out as he flies past you, the guy doing the speed limit as he goes 90 in a 55 to prove some sorta "point."

I couldn't have said it better myself 9D9. I feel the same way. I am now changing my graphics due to copycats in the area as well. I haven't seen them but ive been told by some friends. Hey 9D9 if you ever need a new set of full body graphics im your man pm me and ill hook you up...Peace and keep it original.

Everything here has flames. The most original thing I have ever seen around- this van. Has toys glues or bolted to it. Completely covered except the glass. It was great. I was afraid some of that shit was gonna fall off tho. I kinda wanna get signal auto style stripes- blue with chrome border and have some flames kinda like my current ones flaring off the back. I think that would be mad clean. My new rims, or the ones I plan to get would look good with the chrome border. 18" RH evolution C2's. :) After xmas, my friend is buying my katanas. I am going to get 18's, turbo, then put the sideskirts on. Then my car should stand out. The interior already does. Nobody really sees it to copy. Racing seats and a momo wheel. I doubt many of the copycats here would pay $300 for a steering wheel anyways. :P

granted thieves dont JUST go by decals for deciding which cars to break into, but im sure they still help the thieve make his decision. I mean, why take the extra risk and keep it on?

A reverse axample would be people with ADT alarm systems. If a would be thief wanting to break into your house see's the ADT picket sign in your front yard, i think he is MUCH more likely to move on to the next house. Maybe you really do have an ADT system, maybe you dont. But why would the theif want to risk it?

Since we are dealing with extereme, then why bursh your teeth? They are gonna fall out when your old anyway, so why take precaution and bursh them to make them last longer?

Why cut your hair every month or so? Its jut gonna grow back? Why not wait till your 90 yrs old and then cut it one time and save yourself a lot of money.

All im trying to say is, just because he has the Alpine sticker on his car or not, it MIGHT not attract a theif, but a theif that MIGHT pass up your car MIGHT see that sticker and change his mind. Correct?

Thief Logic:
Why have a 50/50 shot of breaking in car with no decals and finding a nice system.
When you can have a 99.9% percent shot of finding a nice sysem on the eclipse with the Alpine decal.

alright..my friend has a super modded eclipse gsx that runs low 12s..body kit, rims, alpine stereo, gauges, afc, injectors, etc..etc.. well one day we were at the mall a few days ago..and his alarm was broken..thieve just broke the lock and got in his car and jacked all his stuff.. i just upgrated my alarm system cause i'm paranoid..my theory is..if you have a nice sports car with stuff done to it..just get a nice alarm system and you can put all the damn stickers you want on it.. my alarm system was only like $350 and if you barely like push my car it will activate..so if you break the glass it'll activate..kick tires..activate..etc..etc.. cause the factory alarm just doesn't cut it..break the windows and crawl in and take all your stuff and crawl out.. but whatever..if you have a nice alarm do whatever you like..it's your car..who cares what other people think.. I personally think your cary is very clean and those stickers look nice the way you did them.. just my $0.02
