31912, Got a few of them free hoods, info inside Posted by BuckNutty, Oct-02-02 02:00 PM
I have one of the eclipse ones on my talon, for hte 100 they charge you for shipping it is not a bad deal at all. The fitment is excellent from the ones that i have. THe prob with the clear coat is there are white specs in it. It almost looks like someone was sanding in the same room as all the hoods and the dust got into it. Can't notice it from like 5 feet away. There were also a few very small air bubble on some of the hoods. I was thinkin of getting a blue pearl put over the hood so that the white specs would look more like sparkle at a glance. The hood did not come in this order, i have to wait for them to get more in stock before i can post pics of its quality and fitment.
I will have pics up tomorrow, i have to upload them to my friend so he can host them. If you were looking into this deal i'd say to go for it :thumbsup

Are you still selling some? If so, I would have your buddy sand em down and clear them again, if they fit good you could sell them for some good $$ if you put a good thick coat of clear on it. thats just my .02

D00d, i am already lookin at gettin a second shipment of like 10 hoods. I am sellin these for 300 a piece all day. Thats how good of shape they are. I jus gotta get people to realize that there is no shipping charge on top, and that i will help them install it on their car and their set in about a half hour. If i get enough interest for another shipment then i could be sittin on some pretty decent mod cake ;)

 ^^ Notice the white specs^^

They are carbon fiber.......and if i only made you pay shipping then i would get nothing for the hood :p Seriously though guys, i could've gotten a front and a hood for about $350 shipped from them. I suggest you do the same.

Well....not me humping car :P.....The pics are of the same hood, just one isn't pushed all the way down....I am only sellin locally because i am makin a killing on them ($300 each!). Keeping up this rate i will have my hood, my gf's hood, and my front end for a lil over $100 :D. A good money maker or a helper outter if y'all got extra monies or credit cards. The hoods, again, are in great shape for what you pay. The one on my car now is raised about a quarter inch or so on one side but will be fixed once i have my hood pins. I highly suggest goin with this deal.

Well....called the guys up bout the rest o my shiite.....Come to find out that shipping from CA to CT by truck is $215 per box! So whilst i was supposed to get 3 eclipse hoods, i could only get one :(
edit: My online invoice says i ordered three, so i'ma print that out and call my cc company to see about them renegging on my order. Hopefully it was just a simple oversight.

If it's not closing properly (uneven) and you use hood pins to push it down, just be careful because the edges might start to split and your hood might fly off like evan's did. Basically, the underside is fiberglass, and the top side has carbon fiber, and the resin keeps the two together. Just make sure you don't apply too much force to it or the two layers can start splitting and fall apart. Good luck...

the gap really isn't all that huge. It is literally like a 1/4 inch or so. I am perty sure that if i mess around with the way it is mounted then i could get it to fit better.
Shipping from CA to CT is supposedly $215/box. Like i said though, i am gonna see about gettin something done about that since that ain't what my online statement and agreement said.
