Use a flat head screw diver, there are points in the middle of the dome light plastic covers. (thinking the 97 talon has the same dome light as urs) Just be careful with the screw driver,

for real man when i did mine i just used a flat head gave it a good yank went to the other side ggave it a good yank, it almost feels like its gonna break but then it just pops out. Getting the new bulbs in there is kinda tough at first you got to line them up and pop them in the bulbs are kind of are positioned like this \

I was able to get some Blue LED bulbs for my mirror and other spots... They aren't a perfect fit, but it is easy to make them work.

Ok i got em i took out the dome attachment and brought it inside my house where i used a power drill to unscrew the super tight screws and then squeeze in the lightbulbs.. hard work but it works great now gotta love mitsubishi! I'd love to see someone from honda try this with such flawless results!

i've tried like three different pairs of dome/floor lights..they always seem to fade..i've heard the LED ones don't fade (mainly because they are LEDs and not painted glass)..one of my dome lights i got from pepboys faded in two weeks..i bought a different set from advance auto..faded in 3 weeks..bought one set from some other auto store..faded in about 2 weeks too..i want to konw where to get the LED ones to go in the dome lights/floor bulbs.cause these colored glass ones fade..just my $0.02

yeah I hope it lasts it looks really cool.. one thing i did notice is it was 10w and the dome cage says 8 w so its possible it doesn't put out enough juice? but i don't see how that would melt it. No pictures of it though its hard even with a digital camera..
