is it o.k. to take these off?...what I mean is if I do, take them off ('cuz they are rubbing on the front tires) will there be any negative side effects to it, will anything get messed up?

Well they protect engine parts from rocks and what not that gets kicked up by the tires. I would fix them and leave them on myself...

I've had my front ones off for about 8 months and I know a couple other guys with aftermarket bumpers that dont have them on and never had any problems.
