I pulled off my spoiler today to see if that is what is causing my hatch leak... well those rubber gaskets under the spoiler were pretty eaten away so I went to Satan to order some new ones. Well get this... the part number for the gasket on a turbo Eclipse is different than the part number for a NT eclipse. Same wing, he showed me a picture. He even showed me the part numbers for the 3 piece wing so I know he didn't have that one. And of course the gaskets for a NT car were twice as much as a turbo, 7.55 as compared to 3.65. Anyone have any ideas as to why they are different?? This is coming from a reputable dealer and I know the guy so he isn't just trying to rip me off. just thought I would pass this along...

just buy the ones for the turbo car. tia.

It's prolly got something to do with supply & demand. Seeing as all turbo's came with that wing, and only the special edition N/T came with it. Just my guess, but what do I know.

I've seen several turbos without the turbo wing. There's a white gsx I've crossed paths with a couple times even without a turbo spoiler.

Well I just got the more expensive ones.. so what if I wasted 7 bucks. The only thing we can think of is that the part itself has changed, maybe it will cure my leaking problem.
