Has anyone ever tried to put in a distance sensor in the front bumper? I was thinking about it so I wouldn't screw up my front bumper. JC Whitney has them for like $60.

No but I would recommend mounting it in the center opening.under the pastic. Then you don't have to drillinto the surface of the bumper.
How much was it? What distance does it go down to? We want one for my Mom since she lost two fog light covers running into snow drifts and other things.

Supposedly you can adjust the distance. The only problem though is that it is made for backing up. You must tap into the backup lights for it to turn on. But I figure if you put a switch in, you should be able to use it on the front.

I can see a problem with this. When you scrape the front it is usually a fast thing. By the time your beep thing goes off you would have already hit. I am just very careful and I know all the bad spots around here. I have had my new front end on for around a month and i have ZERO scrapes...(KNOCK ON WOOD)
