I used that stuff from the store.. "limo tint". its darker than whats available here in stores.. I put it on, it looked pretty good for only $20. Very few bubbles, very dark. but now its been a couple days and it doesnt look so stable. anyone got tips?

Side 4 windows are easy.

Back window is impossible haha.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE pay a proffesionally to do it. do no go cheap with window tint. it "will" look like shit! people who do this for a living take a long time to master it, its an art, not like modding a car and putting on body kits. you really cant teach yourself to do it right (it takes alot of practice) and it really makes a car look cheap when it bubbles!!!

we don't need any more ricers drivin eclipses!!!! sorry if that sounds harsh but you can have every window tinted as dark as can be for around $200.

Hmm, on that note. I did my own. Did it before Carlisle this year, and still bubble free. One of the edges on one window tore a bit, so I gotta do a lil somethin somethin about it.

BUT, I didn't do the back window. ha! I would'nt suggest anyone that wants to remain sane to attempt it, as I did(3 times). Have it done. You will lose less hair.

If you are going to do it, don't use cheap tint. The reason why people that do it professionally are so good, is not only do they have skills, and alot of practice, but they don't use 20$ roll of tint. They use Rayban, or other such high end tints. These tints are designed to flex before install, and not move at all after. Thus you will often find a lifetime warranty on your tint job.

To tum it up : Get it done. Don't even attempt the back window. :)

ya i tinted my own windows, i got good window tint to, yes the front windows are easier than anything ive done before but the back was a nightMARE! i though i could do it in two peices, NOOOO, i had to use five and line them up, its super dark though cant see into my car but u can see tiny lines and there is like one bubble but other than that it looks ok so im happy and dont mind u have to get up close and look to notice.

I tinted my 240sx and it has held up real good, I agree it is an art, cause it took forever and I know a pro could have done it while he was sleeping probably.

I got my windows professionaly done.. $200... believe it or not.. He only used 1 strip for the whole back window :P

yes, get it done by a pro. I've done a few cars myself, and flat windows are pretty easy. Our back window is almost impossible to do for a novice. The tinter who did my car did the back window in one piece. He has been tinting for 12+ years, and it took him a looonggg time to do it. Its so hard to do because of the curve in the glass. You MUST heat shrink the tint to fit the curves, or else you will need MANY strips of tint, which IMO, looks pretty bad. Tinting is def an art, and takes lots of experience to do really well. I have watched my tinter do his stuff, and damn, he makes it look too easy... Go to a pro, you wont regret it..

besides the pain in the ass it is, proffessional window tinters use a vaccuum steamer thing to totally clean the glass... I had mine done proffessionally, and they havent bubbled in 4 years.

Yeah have a pro do it! I paid $100 for the back 3 windows. NH sucks. You can't tint the front sides and it all has to be 35% :( Oh well, I am rocking the professional 5% tint >) ,mwuhahaha. Anyway, yeah, my back window was done with one piece. 4 years now, no bubbles ;)
