3034, Blitz Kit.....fiberglass ???? eclipse804

I have always heard that if you are going a body kit or just a front bumper to make sure it is not fiberglass because it cracks easier and doesnt last as long as urethane or whatever that stuff is. is there a Blitz front bumper made from urethane??? if so how much is it (eclipse804) and how much would it cost to get painted black?

Thanks

you heard wrong, unless you cant drive, fiberglass is superior. it doesnt sag, and it can be repaired if it cracks or chips. urethane is trash once you crack it. urethane will tear, though not as easily as fiberglass but if you hit something hard enough to crack a fiberglass bumper, youve just hit it hard enough to tear urethane. i have cracked my share of kits and am glad i didnt have to buy new bumpers each time because they were urethane. fiberglass is cheaper to paint as well.

There are no blitz kits made in urethane. The only kit is the stillen which is about 500 just for the front bumper. Fiberglass is good for painting (urethane sags and also can get cracked lines in it). But you have to be careful with fiberglass as it can chip. Almost all kits are fiberglass, so if you want variety in styles, your only choice is fiberglass...

A front bumper without paint is 235 to 245, but shipping costs a lot using truck freight. Typically it costs 200 to ship either a full kit, or a front bumper. A front bumper is only slightly less. Truck freight is more expensive but safer. We don't want to paint the bumper until after you install it. You should get it painted in your area. i got the front and rear from VIS racing it cost $750 to get it shipped here(i live in NC), it was rough fiber glass, but im not sure how much it would cost to get it painted and put on cause I got rear ended and i had that fixed and the whole car painted for $2k, i had mine awhile and its looks good, but like my friend wid a 3g eclipse wid the same bumper cant drive for shit and busted 2 front in less than a month, just be warned that front end sits real low to the ground and i scrape most things and my car is still factory height till my coilovers get here

hope that helps alittle

my car is black and i would like to get it repainted...actually i would like to get the blitz front bumper and an eclipse rear so i can get altezza's and then get the whole thing painted black again. what is a good price for a good paint job. in my area there are alot of shops that charge outrageous prices to do next to nothing. i am willing to drive a ways to get a good job for a good price. I live in ohio near Columbus. anyone know of a good shop?

Thanks

A good price for a complete paint job really depends on who is doing it, and what brand of paint and clears they are using. If its all PPG and they are a good shop, under 2000 for a full paint job is a good price. BTW, I could have gotten the complete VIS kit for you including side skirts for at most 825 shipped to your door...

dont leave the spoiler black and for sure dont leave the door handles black. do you haev an RS? if you got a GS leaving the handles black will just make it look like a RS with a spoiler
