Has anyone ever replaced the rubber trim that is on the top of the door on the outside of the window? My passenger side has some scuff marks on it from buffing the car where the buffer accidentaly touched it. I was thinking of replacing it soon. Is it easy? Does the part cost a lot?

dont do it!! youll never get your window to seal right. did this exact thing with my old z car. had to replace that trim on drivers side after an attempted break in. the windows never sealed right again, and had bad whistling at highway speeds. wasnt bad enough to leak water though, if youve got a strong stereo or enjoy highway speeds with the windows open youll probably be ok though. here in texas im not too fond of windows rolled down in summer.

my car had a break in. Our cars have a metal guard, so they couldn't pry it out, so they busted out my window. I got the glass replaced and got the new seals that they damaged. The window didn't seal, so I took it to the autoglass shop, and they can adjust it to seal right.
