30042, Riverse Lights MOD Posted by eclipzza97rs, Aug-30-02 12:51 PM
I dunno if ya came up with this already but one of my riverse lights went out so i took both bulbs out and replaced them with my old stock headlight bulb. did the wires so that the high beam part would turn on results: they are maddd bright and could use them to play around at stop lights and stuff. I thoght about adding a switch so that i could turn them on and off while im driving in case i get people with high beams behind me. (but i dunno if this would do anything to the computer)

Sweet ass idea! How did you do this? Okay, I have my old low beams will that work? I'll go open them up and see if it will... Good idea!

I have a spare set of high beams, so all I do is switch the bulbs? do you have to do anything to the wiring?

yes you need to cut the old plug take those two wire and run them to the bulb terminals. simple.

Interesting -- but dont blind anyone behind you while driving and cause a wreck.

yeah thats true they could melt if u leave them on but why would you. You'll just get a ticket for driving with them on. I came up with it just to mess around "on & Off" not to drive around with them on. and plus how far am i gonna go on reverse. but hey i least you guys are looking out thanks

Yeah, that's cool, I think instead of cutting the old harness off and putting lowbeams in I'll just get some different color bulbs. Like a hyperwhite. I don't want to kill anyone. good idea though man.
