29804, Custom body kit?
Posted by Miz Unkee, Aug-26-02 02:56 AM
So i have this idea for a kit, but I only wanna make one (MINE!!!hehehehe). Does anybody know a company that will make a completely custom kit? I know it's gonna be expensive, I've already been quoted about 5g's by 2 places, but I'm willing to pay, I'ld just rather shop around first. Can anybody suggest a place that makes good quality kits that would be intereseted in doing this? Thnx

there is no real site that makes them. you need to find a local shop to make it for you. But yeah it will cost alot

plus, don't be surprised if you see someone else with the kit soon after. like the guy from asog who got the custom blitz kit on his avenger; guess what, now you could just purchase that kit like any other.

Unfortunatly, I dont trust my local shops enough to do this kit. I've looked at GTP (importfan.com), Erebuni, and a few others. If anybody knows a local shop that they trust enought to do this they could let me know also. I dont mind using small time places, so long as they have a good rep. This kit will be pretty hard to copy considering the design is based on a kit that hardley anybody has seen outa Japan (took me about 3 months of searchign just to find it) and even then, will have my own variations designed into it. Hehehe.

And as for paulino, yeah the poor guy was pretty bummed. But since the kit is only available from "bodykits.org" AKA Samir Rai, many who already bought the kit have yet to recieve it, and those who havent ordered yet are too scared of ordering from him. So not many people have that kit right now. But I've heard of a few cars out there already who are non-asog-members who already had the kit put on, pretty much the same way he did. But really, it was only a matter of time before the blitz got made. If he wanted to stay unique he really should have gone with a more obscure kit (like me!).

If you're in socal, I may be able to hook you up. Custom kits start at 800 bucks each for each bumper, not including parts. You'd have to buy an eclipse fiberglass kit, cut it in half, and match it up with some other kit you want etc (if you wanted to put a kit from another car onto your car and wanted to modify it also). email me at eclipse804@hotmail.com
