29777, Question on interior paint (newb)
Posted by New2tha2gnt, Aug-25-02 03:28 PM
There is a lot of chipping and rough areas on my interior (97 rs).
Was thinking of touching it up but wasn't sure on what i need to get for it.
Is there any special procedure to painting the interior (dash and center console) surfaces? Certain products i should/shouldn't use? Any suggestions as to what would work best? And could i get it at local stores or would i have to order it? TIA and sry im such a newb :)

well for products, I found nothing works better the SEM Vinyl paint. You can get it at Vinypro.com.

As far as prepping the surface I just cleaned it with alchol and sanded it down a little bit. Some people like to sand it alot.

Hmm, do you know the name of the gray inside of the eclipse? is it like a special gray? ALso would i be able to only do a few spots or would it be necessary to just paint the whole thing?
TIA :)

do you want to just paint certain spots that are stained back to to stock looking gray. If so, it will be very hard to find a color that matches that exactly and even if you did, you would still be able to tell only that part has been paintined. I say paint the whole thing,
