29603, Just cleared out headlights...

Wassup guys,

I just finished clearing out my headlights and it was a lot easier than I thought it would be. Damn, it looks so much cleaner and sexier with hyperwhites all around, and no orange...haha. I highly recommend everyone that is thinking about doing it, to just do it. It's not hard and you'll be happy with the results. Many thanks for the detailed write-up and advice. Peace~

invzn GST wrote up something a while back (a couple weeks ago) and it was pretty good if I do say so. I helped him do his. pretty simple. I put blue bulbs in my headlights for the turn signals. =)

Where can I get it? Will it match up to the stock mitsubishi red?

I have tried a couple different reads from auto parts stores and they are off just a little. The closest is the cardinal red from duplicolor I think. Uts just a little les orange than our stock red but looks real nice. I have decided to talk to Ryan with the silver bad ass car cuz he can get an exact match mixed up in a spray can for like $25 + ship. Its a little pricey but how can you put a price on perfection. ;)

for most people the cardinal red will do.

So to paint the headlights, do u use a spray or brush it on?
29615, RE: Just cleared out headlights...

Definitly spray.....

Otherwise you will see all the brush strokes and sh%t.... You don't even need to tape anyhting off. The part that you paint comes right out of the housing with some screws.

Do you think I could use the cardinal red to paint my tail light center piece too?

If anyone needs color matched paint, shoot me an e-mail and I can ship one out to you. It's a spray, not a brush...you definately want to use spray on something like this. Cardinal red would look pretty good and would be a lot cheaper, but I'm a perfectionist so of course I'd always go with the perfect match.

If I went with plain silver, instead of the color matched pearl silver that is my actual paint code, I dont think it would have turned out this well.

Thx, -- oh and as far as your rear centerpiece goes, I would have a bodyshop do it, since its such a large piece and needs to have the 'gloss' effect the rear bumper and hatch have. With smaller pieces, the color-matched paint is perfect, but with something like that go to a bodyshop.
