I have a set of 99 GS door panels- black leather and the doors, glass etc. Nobody will install the power windows into my car. Could I use a power window kit and use it with the door panels/stock switches, etc.??? Anyone know of any kits that have nice motors for a good price? The autoloc kit is like $400. I don't mind paying if that is the only good kit. I don't want motors that make it take 2 minutes to move the glass up or down. I want it like stock or better. Any help?

do a search for power window kits on ebay. You can pick up a spal kit for 80 bucks and there quick. I just got a kit for 60 bucks yesterday! Im so happy, no reaching over n e more!

I got mine from SlickCar.com. Don't have it yet, (it's coming via Brown today), so I can't speak for it, but if this thread is still alive tonight, I'll post a lil somethin' something' on how it goes. :)

well to my nolage, you basicaly just plase the ring around the stock crank, mount the motor and wires and thats it

so, placing the ring around the crank. I couldn't use door panels off a car with power windows?

yes you can, I know grenclipse did it and it worked fine

Okay, the Spal kit for SlickCar, awesome. :) Honestly, once ya figure out what's going on, it's CAKE to install. Did the driver's side door last night. (Along with a door popping kit(which isn't quite as easy).
Mini-Howto :
Remove the 4 screws that hold your window regulator in, and they give u spacers(use the bigger ones(round ones, not the curves ones).

The instructions for the kit read like stereo instructions, but it'll be ok.

Take one of the motor assemblies they send you, and test fit it. the motor part of it is going to have the padding facing YOU, and the red dot on the other end should be facing IN.

Now, find your gear adapters. I beleive it's #1 for the small one, and the large adapter is the second. The large adapter gets put into the motor/trans assembly they send you, and held in with a small ring.

Now make SURE your rotate the two(so the cable leads cross eachother). This is important.

Hmm, (where I changed things). They show you to mount the motor part of it at the top back of the door, I could'nt cuz my power lock solenoids are there, so I mounted it in the space at the bottom of the door(it's open). And ran the cables right below where your door handle gets screwed into(small metal "L" bracket).

On the motor end, mount 2 of the supplied bracket things vertically, and attach (AFTER you have the front end attached somewhat to the crank). You'll kinda see how it's going to work when ya get into it.

Now do the same thing on the front side by the crank. Mount it with (I used two) brackets again. And welcome to the wonderful world of power windows.

The kits do NOT come with switches(the 159$ one anyway), so you may wanna do what I did, and get the stock switches and panels. I know the panels are 37.50 at the dealer each, which sucks...

but anyway, that's how you install the spal kit in a nutshell, anyone needs any more info, or help, hit me up (bigb@carstylez.com). And if your going to attempt it(which really isn't hard), and think u may want my cell # just in case, email me.. :)

Hit me up if you need any help with it. Make sure you order some sort of switch. Cuz they don't come with them. All they come with are the gears of all different sizes, spacers, screws, and the 2 motor transmission assemblies. That's about it. Ya need something to hook the two wires to.

I actually ordered the door shaving kit JUST for the remote to power my windows(cuz well, I'm lazy) and ended up hooking up the solenoids to the doors anyway. So now I can be extremely lazy.. :)
