This sinsei bumper is starting to piss me off. it doesn't fit perfectly. is that normal for aftermarket bumpers to not fit properly? I heard it kinda was but I got a gap under my driver's side light and the ends curve inward too much so it doesn't look flush with the fender :( I wish it went on as smoothly as my stock bumper.

Anyway how do you guys with aftermarket bumper secure them. I just went through like 30 zip ties in 2 days trying to straighten that damn bumper. I just wanna know what what you guyz do? Are you suppose to use the bolts that the stock bumper came with. Use zip ties. glue it on? Crap I was so pissed the zip ties wouldn't grab strong enough that I stuck one of those easy clamp on the inside of the bumper to keep it on and it worked but that's only a temporary solution..... TIA

For the front bumper, I used the stock bolts across the top (5) and then one screw on each fender. Zip ties usually is a really good idea, and works just as good (or should). But if you want that perfect angle, you might need to use screws to stretch out the bumper in a way (but it stresses it). Most kits do not fit perfect, and it just depends on how picky you are...

I used the top 5 bolts in the front and 2 self tapping screws on each side

I did the same as ^^^^^ and it fits good. Is your bumper fiberglass or urethane?

All kits except the stock front, the stillen front, and the urethane blitz kit, and i think maybe the urethane bomex are Fiberglass.

I used 5 across the top, one in each fender, and zip ties around the rest. I have headlight gaps, but hey, can't mold or adjust a rubber bumper, now can I? :)

You should take it to a body shop and have them modify so many of these cheap ass fitting fiberglass bumpers.

I tried to put on a Blitz bumper but it wouldn't even come near fitting on my car!

Learn how to work with fiberglass bondo I used 5 bolts along the top then extended the sides of the bumper with fiberglass and then drilled holes where the factory stops would have been and used 2 factory bolts on each side. Good thing about the bolts is that you can line up the bumper with the fender then tighten the bolts for a perfect fit. Almost all fiberglass kits need to be modified a bit for a nice fit. That is the wonderful thing about aftermarket parts. LOL

hmm thanx for the input I guess I will try to drill one hole in the exact spot and use one of the stock bolts on the side and then I"ll just use zip ties for the rest. I took the bumper to 120 with the clamp and zip ties and center bolts, seemed to handle it ok.

i've been though two bumpers now and I'd say none are perfect, but the VIS sensei is close. I wouldn't recommend installing and painting any kit. Install it first and then make sure it's perfect. sand down where needed and add bondo to gaps and get it right.

I have the bolts across the middle top section, and I have 2 bolts connecting each side to the fender. so, 2 bolts on the underside of each fender might help. Most fiberglass fronts leave a little gap under the headlights.
