Anyone know a store or somewhere online to buy light bulb condoms for the lights by the feet..also, are there any decent like rearview mirror lightbulbs that don't fade..cause I bought a set of blue lights from pepboys for like$3.99 and 2 of the light bulbs went in the rearview mirror and two on the floor..and it looked nice..but today my friend and i noticed that they started to fade to a greenish color instead of blue..anyone know where i can get good ones or condoms? My friend got a set of green ones for his corners on his z24, they actually worked very well, didn't fade or get glued onto it, He got them at Autozone... I went down lookin for covers for our side marker lights but they don't sell them.

Oh, I'm just trying to find ones for inside the car..cause I had blue ones but they faded..they were nice for the 2 weeks they lasted :x

you can actaully find some dome light condom in Autozone, they sell many.I personally bought a green one and it is good.

How do they make the condoms for the dome lights? Cause the dome lights look like fuses..like a long tube with connectors at each end..not like a regular light bulb..but if you say so i'll go check it out :D thanks!

It's a gel type thing, with 2 open ends and just slides right over the glass part

I have blue LED lights for near the floor board and they look awesome, but my quest to find blue lights for the rear view mirror is going no where. All of the colored bulbs I have tried fade. SO I tried the "condoms", guess what, they faded too. I think we are just S O L (shit outta luck for all of you rednecks!).

The ones that you guys are useing that fade are the painted ones you should look on the internet for the bulds where the glass is actually stained or dyed thoes dont fade.

I tried the "color impregnated glass" lights too and they faded as well. I wish they made LED lights for the rear view mirror. I know I could probably rig something with LEDs but I'm too lazy!:P

take a non-permanent marker and color the outside of the glass and see how long that lasts. Ive heard that it doesnt fade...but its just what ive heard.

Actually I bought direct replacement blue LED Bulbs. I think I have an extra set if you want me to hook you up. Let me know!

I got the blue condoms from autometer.
The sent me some for my gauges (FOR FREE:) ) and I had 2 left over so I put those on the floor lights. Looks nice.

Hello, A freind of mine blows glass. I'm haveing him make me 2 blue colored tubes to go over the dome lights. If they work and hold color i'll post his page and he will have them differant colors.

I called them up and asked them if they made blue condoms, and he said "how many gauges do you have?" I told him and he said he was going to send me some! I said well hell yeah! 4 days later I got em and 2 extras. I love Autometer! The blue looks really good on the gauges, but it doesn't allow alot of light. You can see them fine though. If you have indiglos and the HVAC & dash conversions you will have everything blue. I love that look.

I just put blue bulb condoms on my boost and EGT gauges. They look really good in blue, but now I can't see where the needle is. I really want to keep them blue, but I can't drive around at night without being able to read my gauges.

Does anyone know where I can buy a brighter bulb for the Autometer gauges? I figure if I put a brighter bulb in, it might make the blue light brighter.

If I can't find a higher wattage bulb, I'm gonna try putting a few holes in the bulb condom to let more light through, but I'm afraid that could cause spots that are white light instead of blue. Any other ideas??
