Basically I have found some complete kits for a good price but the thing is i dont understand how the kit works. What i was wondering is if there is a website that explains all of that in detail or if someone could tell me what happens when you press the door open button. Also, do you need to have power locks?

there are little motor-type things called poppers in your door, and you hook them up to a remote control system. when you press the button, they "pop" the door open using an actuator, and voila. the actuator is a cylinder with one and that moves. this end actually opens the door just enough to clear the ock, and then a spring is what really does most of the movement work. hope this helps.
^^ here is the part that opens the door.cya.
