Guy, I just bought a Factory high wing and was wondering about how much money its going to take to switch me over. I have the factory 3-piece spoiler on it now and hope to change over soon. TAI.

Do you plan on getting a repaint?
They gotta fill the factory holes I believe there are like 14 or 16 of them. Then you have to get the new spoiler painted and paint over the filled areas...and then drill new holes for the new spoiler and install.
I don't know how much of that area you have to get painted...that could be a major bummer.
Once you get it on, show us some before/after shots, if you have them!
Thanks and good luck!

i remember someone saying that its like $300-$400. i guess it depends on what body shop you go to and how much stuff you have to get painted. i would get quotes from a few shops, unless you have a shop you go to already.

i just got my high wing installed and yeah, you'll love it when everything is done but the cost is a b***h. for painting the wing, it was 200, painting the rear of where the old spoiler was 600 and that included getting all those hole helded shut. total cost, 800 but the end result was pretty awesome!

Geez, you guys are getting jipped! Our local performance shop that does work for the local show cars is doing my spoiler swap (97 talon spoiler on 95, i was going to use the gs-t spoiler though so the quote is for the high one, this will be even less) for $350 including filling the holes, painting spoiler, and putting it on. $800 total for the entire back car in red (minor accident). Maybe I just got the hook up :P

Ouch!:-( I may just wait till I can get a set of factory side skirts and get the whole car repainted. At least this way they won't have an excuse for not matching everything up perfect. Thanks for the replies guys.

Ahhhh, it's nice to have contacts...a buddy of mine goes to an automotive tech school and he quoted me, from his professor, $350 to:
1) Pull rear wing off 2) Fill holes and paint 3) Paint new turbo wing 4) Strip and paint hood, fascia, fenders, and roof!
Then I just need to buy the wing for $250 and I'm set. Need to finish school first through
